Each year, LuHi students and chaperones participate in home building projects that provide affordable housing for people in need. On March 11th and 12th twenty student builders plus chaperones worked at a site in East Patchogue, NY. Professionals, novices, and the future homeowner worked side-by-side to raise the walls of the first floor of this home. In honor of the school’s 50th Anniversary students pledged $ 21,000 to support Habitat for Humanity and undertake a corporate sponsorship of this build.
