Each year, forty students and chaperones participate in home building projects that provide affordable housing for people in need. On March 11, 20 student builders plus chaperones worked at a site in Mastic. Professionals, novices, and the future homeowner worked side-by-side to raise the four exterior walls. Two days later, a second group of students and chaperones returned to the site, affixing sheathing and strapping to the home, as well as securing the base flooring.
